Day 1: Tarangire National Park

In the morning, our safari guide will fetch you from your Arusha hotel. You’ll journey approximately 120km (about a two-hour drive) to reach Tarangire National Park.

This park boasts vast elephant herds and an array of other creatures. You’ll explore seasonal swamps, the sprawling savannah, and the life-sustaining Tarangire River, a focal point for animals during the dry season.

Your aim? Encountering a plethora of wildlife: zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes among them. There’s also a chance to catch a glimpse of lions and leopards. Our expert guide will select the perfect spot for a delightful picnic lunch, after which you’ll continue the game drive until sunset.

As night falls, you’ll be transferred to one of our handpicked partner hotels for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your journey will lead you towards the boundless expanse of the endless plains, offering you an awe-inspiring view of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater before proceeding to Serengeti National Park by afternoon. A seasoned guide will orchestrate a picturesque lunch and wine break amidst this stunning landscape.

Serengeti National Park is renowned for its thriving wildlife population, notably the Big Five, named for their historical status as the most coveted trophies among hunters. The park boasts the largest concentration of lions in Africa, approximately 3,000 strong, owing to the plentiful prey in the region.

The elusive African leopard, a stealthy predator, frequents the Seronera area and traverses the entire park, with an estimated population of about 1,000.

Following an exhilarating game drive, you’ll retire to your accommodations for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

You’ll have an early morning game drive as early as 6:30 am-9:30 am. This morning game drive offers you the best chance to capture early morning kills from the Big Five.

After exploring the park, you’ll head back for the main breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

You will pass Olduvai Gorge which boasts a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.

Lunch will also be served at the Olduvai Gorge as you get the lecture on the evolution theory.

Thereafter, you’ll proceed to Ngorongoro arriving late afternoon where you will spend the next few hours on the rim of the crater.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Simba Campsite.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

At 6:00 am, you’ll have breakfast and take your picnic lunch before descending over 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a 6-hour game viewing.

The Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards (which sometimes require a trained eye to spot).

You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of hippos, flamingos, and other waterbirds can usually be seen here.

In the late evening, you’ll drive to Fig Tree Lodge & Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, you’ll be fetched from your lodgings and chauffeured to Lake Manyara National Park, a brief 30-minute drive away. This park is a haven for photographers, boasting exceptional game viewing opportunities.

Prepare to encounter Africa’s renowned wildlife, including the captivating sight of tree-climbing lions—a definite highlight that practically poses for your camera lens amidst the acacia trees.

For bird enthusiasts, Lake Manyara is a paradise. The park showcases a diverse array of birds, offering an absolute delight for even the most amateur birdwatcher.

You’ll witness the spectacle of vast flamingo congregations, majestic birds of prey soaring overhead, and the vibrant plumage of the lilac-breasted roller.

A delightful lunch will be served within the park at 1:00 pm, followed by your return to Arusha later in the afternoon.

Day 6: Materuni Waterfalls

Today, you will visit the waterfalls which are a walk of around 40 minutes.

The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck, you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim, so don‘t forget your swimwear!

After having enjoyed the scenery, you’ll slowly return with your guide to Materuni village where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. You also will have the opportunity to taste our local banana beer – not to be missed!

The coffee tour is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances – a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. Before you say goodbye, you can savor the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.

In the late afternoon, you will be taken to your hotel or the airport, which will conclude your safari.
