Tanzania is a land of breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. From the vast plains of the Serengeti to the towering peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, and from the pristine beaches of Zanzibar to the remote wilderness of Ruaha and Selous, Tanzania offers an adventure like no other.
The Northern Circuit is the longest and most scenic route on Mount Kilimanjaro, offering an exceptional blend of stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and excellent acclimatization opportunities. It approaches the mountain from the west and circles around the northern slopes, providing a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience with fewer crowds.
This route is ideal for climbers looking for a higher success rate and a more gradual ascent. The extended itinerary allows your body ample time to adjust to the altitude, significantly improving your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak. Along the way, you’ll witness breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau, rugged alpine desert, sweeping plains of Kenya, and the towering Kibo summit.
With its combination of adventure, solitude, and unmatched scenery, the Northern Circuit is widely regarded as the best and most rewarding route to conquer Africa’s highest peak.
