An amazing and incredible Tanzania safari experience! During a visit to Moremi in Botswana together with two other couples, we decided that it was time to plan a trip to Kenya and Tanzania – a life long dream for my wife and I. Fortunately one of the other couples have done such a trip before and the planning was therefore much easier. Lance Zackey from Rove Africa did all our booking requirements - where to go, where to stay, what to pack, what to wear and all the small details. Lance handled all our questions promptly and the complete tour was planned without a hitch. We did however request that Sammy Lema from Untamed Safaris in Tanzania be our guide since the other couple have had experience with him on their previous trip. We had a 8-day safari in Tanzania and visited Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Arusha together with Sammy, our personal guide. Our accommodation and food at Serena Serengeti Lodge, Serena Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp, Serena Ngorongoro Lodge, Serena Lake Manyara Lodge and Serena Lake Duluti Lodge was outstanding with no complaints. The entire staff at the lodges was gracious and kind and the service was excellent. All the lodges supplied us with daily lunch boxes which was arranged by our guide. Our guide, Sammy, picked us up at the Serengeti airstrip and for the next eight days we were in each other’s company. What a fantastic and exceptional guy – he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything and he was good in spotting game while driving and talking to us. Sammy was knowledgeable of all the animals and he often spotted leopards and lions in the trees or on rocks before any other vehicle. We saw the migrating wildebeest and zebra, lots of lion, leopards and a cheetah as well as all the other game that reside in the park. The beauty of the Serengeti plains and the animals was amazing and unforgettable. We had a fantastic time with Sammy as our guide and friend and we couldn't have asked for a better guide from the beginning to the end of our trip. We are so grateful to him for making our safari so successful and unforgettable. Alex, the owner of Untamed Safaris in Arusha met us after the safari just to make sure everything went according to plan. Needless to say we had no complaints and the group appreciated the wonderful time that we spent together. We can highly recommend Untamed Safaris.

Our life-long dream to visit Serengeti/Ngorongoro, was perfected by UntamedSafaris. The attention to detail by Sammy, our guide for about 8 days, was amazing! He went out of his way to find the migrating wildebeast and zebra, which he did. Also, Sammy was always happy to drive the whole day, arranging lunch boxes so that we could maximise time in the Park. He made sure that we were comfortable by continuously asking: are you good? This tour operator is highly recommended! While we are experienced self drivers in National Parks in South Africa, we will opt for guided safaris in East Africa, and our choice will always be UntamedSafaris!

I think I am in culture shock – my body is in SA but I left my heart in Tanzania. We had a wonderful time Serengeti & Ngorongoro – Our guide met us at the airstrip with a Engel travel fridge filled with cold beer and soft drinks and so stole everyone’s hearts there and then. We had a wonderful time with him as a guide and friend. The Serengeti did not disappoint either. We saw migrating wildebeest and thousands of zebra (which was very interesting as we are used to mostly wildebeest), lions in all places they could be; in trees, on kopjes, walking on the road and off the road. We saw 4 different leopards in trees – one with a kill – in 2 hours’ time. We also saw a cheetah from very close by, and a caracal! I will not bore you with the giraffes, elephants, birds etc, etc, etc we saw every day. We covered a large area of the park and were awed by the beauty of the landscape. We sometimes asked Sammy to stop so that we could just soak it in. All aspects of Serengeti and Ngorongoro were amazing!!!! On our way to Lake Manyara we met up with Alex from Untamed Safaris and he treated us to a traditional lunch. It was with very sad hearts we said goodbye to our friends last Tuesday.

Fun all the way Untamed Safaris gave us the fun we waited for a long time. The guides knew what they were doing. It is my first time to visit Tanzania and the proved its worth my money!
